A Sad Occassion

Good Afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I went from having 2 children to having 4 children and now back to 2...phew
I had my BF's kids over they are the same ages as my kids and they are all becoming very good friends...each year gets better and better.  My daughter is the youngest by one year and our boys are only 4 months apart so she feels like she is left out more than she really is just the age.  That being said I know my girlfriend will understand when I say am I very happy that I quit at 2 it felt like I had twins and two one year apart and .....no thank-you....smile

Anyways I figured that mommy mad time for her kids to have some play time and now that it is a little quieter here I thought it was time for mommy to have some play time and really not for the best of occassions,  We had a family friend whos son-in-law passed away suddenly so I unfortunately needed to make a sympathy card for his father.  It doesn't matter that this man was approx 50 yrs old no one should have to bury their child, oh and the wife left behind it is awful in every way.

So this card is made with the new set from the Occassion mini Plane & Simple along with the Vintage Garden DSP I also used the caring set form the mini as well that has some wonderful stamps for sympathy

So thanks so much for coming by today and take a little time to find your inspiration

I also had to have the vintage gardern designer paper.....ahhhhhhh

Anyways I hope you enjoy and find some inspiration in your blogging travels.

Classy Occassion Mini CASE

Hello, Hello

Is it not amazing just how much you can get done without two extra pairs of hands getting in the way.  I actually got a few cards made up.....this one was totally inspired by an example in hte Occassion mini....I did not have the thanks stamp used in the sample so I improvised, I also did not have the safety pins and I made my card a 5x5 size.
Otherwise it was a very fast and easy card to duplicate and I really like the classy look it gives with the Black and vanilla.

I sure hope you enjoyed and I hope you are able to find an inspiring picture in the mini or catalogue as well.

Clearly for You Vintage style

Good Evening to you all!!!!!!!.

So I know what you are all thinking here is a lady that goes and starts up a blog...has me coming every couple days to see what she has been up to and well I have been MIA.

I have no excuse other than my children are home from school for the Christmas holidays and well my daughter (age 4..almost 5) well lets just say there is a good possibility that she could be a future recruit...smile.  I gave her a taste of what stamping can be like when she made her teacher a card.  Well she loved the making of it and especially the gratification of giving it to her....so my short story made long (LOL) is that whenever I even get near what used to my private haven I have this litle shadow that follows me in there, and then well it is not about what I want to do or the ideas going through my brain it is all about making this little monkey with big blue eyes, and the making her happy.  Today however it needed to be about ME and the wonderful man that I said "I DO" to took them out to do some errands....today.  Does he deserve an award or what?!!!!!!

I went a little crazy with this Occassion Mini, I don't know if it because our family chooses to not celebrate the holidays that there was just not a tremendous amount of items I wanted or needed from the Holiday mini.....AND I was ready for some new stuff and I just seem to want everything I thought I had gotten lots and then silly me missed the one set I really wanted...BUT hey the mini is good for a few months it will still be there for later.

So onto todays card I was in the mood to make a 5x5 cards (probably because I finally remembered to order more 5x5 envelopes) I had no occassion to stamp for and no offense to all you WONDERFUL ladies that come stamp with me on a regular basis it was just nice to stamp for me not because of a class or club....just for the sake of stamping....ahhhhhh, it was lovely

Now here are the supplies needed:
STAMPS: Notably Ornate, Clearly for You
INKS: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzaz, Marine Mist
PAPER: New DSP from Occassion ( not sure if I am allowed to be telling), BBreeze, MMist, PPizzazz
ACCESSORIES: Scallop Circles #2 die, Big Shot MAchine, Wallpaper EF, Victoria, lace, wide oval punch, half pearls

So I hope this wets your appetites for the Occassion Mini if you have not recieved yet.  As for my customers ...you all know who you are IF you have not recieved your mini in the mail along with the Sale-a-Bration mini let me know and I will get one out to you ASAP
Also hope you found some inspiration that you can use with your own supplies and thanks so much for coming by and visiting.

Trying Something New

Good Evening!!!!!!

Well we had yet another snow day with buses cancelled and so I had promised both of my kids that they could make a card BUT I thought that it would have been after I got to make mine and they had been gone to school all day...smile

So this is the reason for the late post.....finally got them into the bathtubs, washed and to bed.

Now for the card some time ago while blog hopping I saw the incredibly talented Michelle Zindorf use a stencil on her card in the background...it was a flourish shape and I thought WOW.  I mean I had seen the christmas ornamants done on cards ut there was something about the flourish that just set it apart.....SOOO I have a stencil but did not want to case anything I wanted to just use that as an inspiration.

So on one of the last orders I had put in I had added a package of the Elegant Notes and took one of the cards popped out the pieces and used that half flourish as a stencil.

I sure hope you like it and it inspires you in some way...if you have no idea who Michelle Zindorf is you have got to check this lady out....she is the queen of scenes and brayering http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/  go visit you will be glad that you did

Thanks for coming

This is for your Ruth

Yep that is right this card is for Ruth ...not literally BUT since she put her order in for our Occassion mini before me and I just got mine today and hers is still delayed because of the weather here in Southern Ontario, I am uploading a card done with a small section of the product I chose and since I believe she did not order this set I thought maybe she would like to see it.

I just LOVE all that came in my delivery today and cnnot wait to get my hands deep into everything

I though cannot post certain stuff about what is coming in the Occassion so to not give to much info you are going to love it AND if you are one of my customers your should be out in the mail shortly and if you do not have it by Jan 4th let me know and I will get you another one.  You should be getting a Sale-a-Bration mini as well.

Lastly you cannot see it clearly in the picture but I put a medium pearl on each tulip and sponged along the edges in crumb cake...it does look a lot more soft and sweet in real life.

Hope you enjoyed and it has wetted your tastebuds for more!!!!

My First Time with Decor Elements

Alright enough is enough....I am the first to enjoy and love my children however 3rd day of snowdays and I am starting to remember why it was I didnèt continue into my teaching career....and I only have 2!!!

Oh Well better them with me than on the road in the bus and end up in some form of accident...that would be very bad.

So my point is this, since the first two snow days I still had some very brave ladies that did not let the snow stop them from coming OR had not come down with some kind of bug came to the scheduled classes.  Which then means that the kids had to miss out on my attention...SO today it is all about them and I have told them I would stay out of the craft room.  However they did go outside with daddy while I did some unfinished cleaning up from the last couple days of card making.
Of course I got that finished before they were ready to come in which allowed me some time to try my hand at some of this Decor Elements.

I have not, not liked it from the beginning I just did not know where exactly I would put it and what I
liked well enough that I wanted to put it on my walls.  So I started with getting a couple smaller ones and adding them to the front of my scrapbooking albums, and then proceeded to buy some just recently since the customers were starting to show more curiousity with it.

My choices were this HOME swirly item and I have really liked the Butterflies from the beginning so I put them on the wall in my kitchen, we do not really have an entrance way ..you just come directly into the kitchen and then above our kitchen cupboards instead of it being open we have a large bulkhead so along it I will continue more butterflies and another verse of some sort (about family).

So far I am rather happy with it and My daughter thinks the butterflies are sooooo beautiful..cute!!!  :)

So I may not be going into the craft room but I was able to still do a little crafting...I did the medium size medallion up in our 2nd bathroom but I will have to show you that later I need to get the clock hung in the middle of the medallion first.

So that is it for today... I hope all of you in Southern Ontario that are part of this snow squall are staying warm and not going insane with the kids home and if you need to go on the roads I hope you get to where you are going safely.  For all the rest of you I hope you have a great day and you find a little inspiration

Happy stamping or crafting

Butterfly Pansies

Wel well well what a snowy Monday!!!!!!!!

I am not a snow lover as I have mentioned before but I am a huge fan of the Snow days.  It looks as though it could very easily be another tomorrow.

Great days for sinking into the craft rooms...except that I had a couple very enthusiastic ladies that braved the weather and came out for a class I was having today and we'll see what the weather brings tomorrow as I am having my last class of the year 2010.  Sure hope the adies can make it BUT really it is all about safety first.

Now I have admitted it before and I will admit it again when I look at the butterfly punch I saw a butterfly but someone out there looked at it and thought hey lets make it a pansy ..... so I said okay!!!

This is my take on a pansy as I am not a lover of winter in any way I decided to make a springy card just to pretend.

I sure hope you enjoyed and was inspired as I have been from others

Oh and the supplies are as such

Garden Greenhouse DSP, Pear Pizzaz, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Whisper White papers
Bashful blue, marine mist, concord crush, pear pizzaz, so saffron, pink pirouette inks
Wide striped pretty in pink grosgrain,  Subtles glitter brads, butterfly punch, modern label and word window punches
The only stamping was the Flower fancy stem.

Thanks for coming by and come back any time

Club Girls Homework!!!!

Happy Sunday to you all!!!!!!!!!!!

We have begun to get some of that yucky white stuff!!!!  Sorry Corrine I know you love the winter but as much as I am a fan of your stamping style I am not in agreement with you when it coimes to loving the snow....smile

Anyways I have a great bunch of ladies that come and stamp with me on a regular basis BUT one group in particular becasue they are part of a club that has them come once every quarter and spend minimum of $50.00, they then each get a month assigned to them to be the hostess and reap the rewards in free hostess sets and free $ amount.  However they are also given homework, because they only meet every threee months they are given a random sketch challenge from SCS and then I supply them with some DSP and cardstock....I think it is so much fun to see everyones take on both of the challenges.  Now IF I were a smart women I would have remembered to take a picture of everyones to show the talent I have in this group of ladies...I am not sure exactly if they are happy to get homework but hey I am the teacher and that is one of the perks...giggle

SO I may not have everyone elses but I do have mine and next time I will be smarter and take a picture of theirs as well.

I had given them each some of the Greenhouse Gardern DSP and a half a sheet of Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.  The stamp set and accessories were up to them.

I had chosen the Flower Fancy, Daffodil Delight Taffeta ribbon and some Cherry Cobbler brads.  I used my blender pens, and dimensioned up two of the flower

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you liked what you saw.
Come by again

Thank You to all of you out there that inspire me in so many ways
This card uses the bird/branch punch, you use the wings of the bird to make the petals....how sweet is that.

From Hearts to Hydreangas

Happy Happy Wet Tuesday to you all!!!

I will take a wet day over a snowy day any day, especially when I had to drive to Kitchener to see my surgeon that did my ankle replacement 4 years ago, snow is pretty but not on the road.  For those that know me well I am happy to say that I can put the surgery off for a little longer and doing so will maybe allow me an more up-to-date newer replecement for my replacement...giggle

Now on to the card, this is first version to a punch card we are going to be doing on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday having had it done and looked at it for awhile now so there will be a couple tweeks but you get the idea.  Now I cannot take credit in any way for knowing how to take a heart punch and make a hydreanga the credit definitely goes to  http://www.vatitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com/ if you have never been to her site well go there now and be inspired.

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by

Penquin Time

Did you all think that I forgot about you all???!!!!

Well let me just say that I did not forget I just kept running out of hours in a day, and just could not get myself into my room.

However tonight the kids and hubby all seemed to be looked after fine, all were in the room of choice and well it freed some time for ME!!!!

I have promised tht the next class I did I would do some punch art however this particular card I am not pleased with enough to do for a class, it just did not turn out the way I thought it was going to but I did still think that it was rather cute and will work for my son to give to one of the few people has yet to give a thank you card too from the summer.

So I sure hope all of you had a great weekend, it certainly was a mixture weather wise.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you were inspired in some way

Thanks....I needed that

Good Wednesday to you all!!!!!

This card was most definitely a SCS sketch challenge from over a year ago BUT sometimes I get a brain fart and do not know what to do, so the sketches help me to get the mojo going and this is what I had come up with.

The little bird was stamped twice and just dimensionaled up then he and the flower got some of my other favorite thing and that is the Crystal Effects to make them really stand out (does this more in person than in this picture) the main background was the Bella Toile BG in Pink Pirouette. The other backgrounds are the En Francais done in versamark then brushed with some of our pastels (chalk).

Well hope you are having a fantastic day where ever you may be.

Thank Ewe....smile

Yep so it is Tuesday and I already feel like it should be the end of the week.

Everyone seems to be feeling a little better the voice is slowly coming back...still have a few letters go missing in a word occasionally but hey I can handle that.  My son has gone 12 hours with no throwing up so all is good!!!!

This little sheep is pretty much the reason I got the Pun Fun Set I just thought that she was just as cute as can be.  I had made up a whole bunch of these for a friend that had a baby girl as part of her gift to hand out as her thank you cards

Well I have not much to say, other than IF you have not had a chance to sit down and look over the FANTASTIC  deals over at Stampin Up I am telling you YOU need to get a coffee, diet coke, tea whatever is your preference and sit down and look it over, it is done in  7 days.  I mean any of you thinking about the MDS (My Digital Studio) well how is 50% off...yep you read it right $53.48 instead of the regular $106.95 and so much more go now ...... I mean it right now, then give me a call or email if there is anything that you just have to have

So thanks for popping on by, hope you liked the card and was inspired in some way
Hope you can come back again real soon

Love you Much

I'm Back!!!!!!

So what did you think of the fantastic sale items, did you make your list....I know I did

Now on to the card you know I made this card eons ago and found it while cleaning up my scraping room and thought WOW I forgot all about this set....is it even  a current set.....I have no idea actually but thought I would load it up for you anyways.  I will not be getting any stamping done only because I do not feel like it I have had a windinger of a weekend with the not feeling so hot and now my little boy has been home throwing up and is finally getting some much needed sleep....I too would love to sleep but my little girl is not yet sick and well I just cannot sleep and leave her alone.  Hopefully when her daddy gets home he will let me have an hour.  Although he is the one that went out to work this morning BUT I was the one up in the middle of the night giving puffers, getting buckets and medicine...do you think he will go for it....smile
I KNOW he will he is a great guy.

Hope you like the card, if I remember correctly this was a sketch from Splitcoaststampers from long ago.

Flight of a Butterfly

Well, well Happy Saturday to you all!!!!!!!!!!

This week just seem to fly by and I was able to make a couple new cards for you all but the last couple of days I have been feeling a little under the weather and todays the first day my throat is not hurting BUT to my hubby's great joy I have lost my voice, I sound like one of the mice from Cinderella...smile

However we have an intimate surprise party to go to this afternoon and my husband and I wanted to give this young lady a gift. She is going to be going to Honduras to do some missionary like work and will be gone for a couple months, and I needed something to put it in so here is my version of a flight of the butterfly and no it does not even use any of the stamp set.

One of my old favorites is the Thought and Prayers ( and yes it is still double mounted...aghhhh) I have not used it for some time only because I had used it so much I was afraid some of my customers would think I owned no other stamp sets.....giggle.

So here are the ingredients...yes I have recipes on the brain as I just finished a triple chocolate decadent cake to take to the hostesses house as a contribution to the buffet.

STAMPS: Thought and Prayers, En Francias
INKS: Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz
PAPER: Same as inks as well as the DSP that has these colours in that I cannot remember, Vellum cardstock, and Vanilla
ACCESSORIES: Eyelet Border punch, Lots of Butterflies die, pearls all different sizes

So I hope that you all have some wonderful plans for the weekend and that you enjoyed the card I showed you today

WHOO...would have thought

Well Good Afternoon to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am the first to admit that I was not even remotely excited as some of the others out there about this owl punch...I sat there thinking what on earth would I do with a bunch of owl punch outs......yeah okay so here I am ordering the silly thing.  You know why I got it BECAUSE all you talented ladies out there that see more than just an owl...you see a ghost, penguin, tulip and so on and so on.

So anyways I had gotten a download from another demo named Amy Taylor at http://www.justalittleink.com/
for the calendar and thought that it would make a really cute magnet for the fridge. I had gotten one from a  secret sister last year and loved it on my fridge and with the  year on its way I made one up to replace the old one.

I used the clear scallop die after glueing som DP onto the magnet sheet. I then cut a lattice from Whisper White paper. from there it is pretty self explanatory...however if you do have a question feel free to ask.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you can come again soon

PHEW>>>finally here is the card

Well I said I would be back and well better late than never.....and I am later than I thought I would be.

So I was inspired from a card on http://www.gloriousgreetings.blogspot.com/ she had done a black and whote card for her nephews wedding and it got me to thinking that I have a whole package of Newsprint DSP that I had not used yet so this is what I came up with.  The really funny this is I had the colour challenge paper out on the table to use and the Sense of Time stamp set and as you can see neither of them were used....go figure

I really should have made this into an anniverary card but hey you can never have to many thank yous either....smile

Well time to get the kiddies to bed so that is all for now

AMAZING OFFER!!!!!!!

Vintage Anniversary

Happy Tuesday to you all!!!!!

I am really behind on getting my parents their Anniversary card, it was on the 4th of October.  I have a really good excuse though and my mom is aware of the reason so it is okay.

I was really nervous about this card because when it comes to clothes my mom is not a fan of browns and pinks going together BUT I had just gotten my wide striped grosgrain in the pink and it was screaming out to me to be used.....so needless to  say she got a pink and brown card.   Guess what though.....SHE LOVED IT apparently it is okay on cards..smile

Anyways they have been married for an amazing 41 years and still in love which is soooo great and a true inspiration that even though every marriage can have its ups and downs, it can be done and love will always win.

Now that I have rambled on long enough here is some supplies needed:

STAMPS: Friends 24/7
INK: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Certainly Celery
PAPER: Pretty in Pink DSP, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
ACCESORIES: Pearls, Crystal Effects, Top Note Die, Big Shot Machine...IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE YOU NEED THIS MACHINE!!!, Log Cabin smooch Spritz, Scallop Border Punch

Now one last thing just a reminder that yester was the first day of a two week promotion to get your never before offered starter kit for 1/2 price.....that means for $107.50 you can get all the supplies in either a digital starter kit or standard.  You can sign up to get the kit and if you end up not wanting to sell or do workshops you can just drop with no charges to you and you will not have to give anything back.
So if you think you would like to become part of my team then feel free to contact me and I will help you get signed up or if you just want to do it on your own go to http://www.layerqueen.stampinup.net/ and my password is: starterkit

So that is all have a great rest of the day

Just Because

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!!!!

A little on the grey side for the weather but it is only 8:40 am so we see what the rest of the day brings.

So my weekend has passed me by with lots of fun things but WOW when it is busy it goes by too fast. The evening at my BFF's house was so nice as I had said that day we never have to opportunity to get together with both of whole family. The kids miss each other and our husbands surprisingly have lots in common so it was lovely to have us all there....Thanks Richard and Ruth

Yesterday was one of my cousins 25th anniversary and their children put on a little party/dance for them we went for the dinner and a little association it was lovely, we did leave at the dance part though because some other dear friends were looking after the kids and we wanted to get them home before they got to tired. It was the first time leaving our kids with anyone other than grandparents so they had great fun and Troy/Manuella thanks again.

Now onto the card, due to the weekend being so packed full guess what got sacrificed....yep the stamping!!! So this is a card done at a camp in September, a with all the other matchy cards that have posting.  I really hope to find time to get back in my room and making a new card today.

Until tomorrow, hope you have a great day and happy stamping

Just a Fabulous Promotion

Can  you believe this promotion!!!!!!!

In all honesty I have been a demosince 2006 and I have never seen a promo like this, I mean they have had great promos like extra stamp sets, a whole family of classic stamp pads, 20% off promos BUT never have I seen a half price starter kit.

You could not get a better opportunity either to join and here is a couple reasons:

1. Your quarter would not be up until Mar 31/11 which gives you the Sale-a-Bration opportunity to earn extra free sets, and who does not have a friend that would not LOVE to host a party for you at tht time of year since EVERYONE wins.

2. You will get a 30% income on your first order.....SO anyone celebrating Christmas you can get gifts for 30% off.

3. You will have me to answer any questions along the way

4. Lastly you have the opportunity to work for a really fun company...if it ends up not being something you want to do there is no fee to quit, BUT eally if you can even get just one workshop a quarter it is fairly easy to get your expected $400.00.

So if you think this is an opportunity you would like to take advantage of OR just want all the goodies for the 50% off then contact me by phone or email and I will help you with the joining...IF you are computer savvy and just want to do so your self head on over to my website http://www.layerqueen.stampinup.net/  and go to join now and my password is: starterkit.

Looking forward to some you maybe becoming part of my team.

Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping

Believe in Neutrals

Good Friday to you!!!!!

I first of all have told you all how much I love this set and the Elegant Soiree paper is just gorgeous.  I was hoping that htis card could pass for a manly card.....then I went and addeed the Filigree and Vintage brads and voila I made it not so many...smile

Either way I was very happy with the simplicity of this card and the neutral colours of it.

I however am going to have to keep this post a short one as I am so happy to be going over to my BFF's house for a visit and dinner....what is even better is that today is a PA Day here in the Thames Valley School Board region, my hubby is on holidays so we will all be getting together as famillies which is not as easy to do.

So have a great day...I know I will and thanks for coming by

Happy "I do" day

Pretty catchy title huh??!!!!

I am always in short supply of anniversary cards so even though most would think this to be a wedding card I figure it can be used for anniversary day as it the anniversary of the day that you said 'I Do'......I know, I know I am pushing it, but oh well that is my reasoning even if it stretching it.

Anyways, on to the card the Saturday I made this with a group of ladies we made four matching (in colour and DSP) cards and a box to put them in.
It was fun but it uses a whole package of DSP and then I was a little bored, I think I prefere having ore of a variety.

So here are the supplies:
STAMPS: Fifth Ave Floral, Word Play
INKS: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzaz, So Saffron, ary Espresso
PAPER: Elegant Soiree, Cmb Cake, V Vanilla, Soft Suede
ACCESSORIES: Scallop Oval Frame, Vanilla Taffeta, Rhinestone (on top of O as a ring)

So I hope you liked it and found some form of inspiration

I am awful for not having enough get well cards for little ones and it never fails that some little guy/gal at our childrens school gets hurt or very sick and is in need of a card so I thought I would make a couple to have on hand just incase

I am not a real fan of the cutsy stamps BUT this is one I just could not, not have with kids in school and alot of friends of ours having small children still, it got itself into my hands very quickly.

I love the row of brads it is not something I ususally do in a class only due to the fact I would run out of brads very quickly but I do love the look.....not to toot my own horn.

So I really hope that you enjoyed the card an here are the ingredients:

STAMPS: Beary Best Friends
INKS: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, River Rock, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze
PAPER: Greenhouse Gala, Daffodill Delight, Pear Pizzaz, WWhite
ACCESSORIES: Daffodil Brads, Daffodil Taffeta,

Elegant Happiness

Well here I am it is almost time to be getting the kids into bed and thought that I would quickly put a card on.  This card was one of the four that I pictured with the box as one of my first couple posts I juist thought that I would put each of the cards on individually with more of a closeup.

This card was done with a fantastic stamp set that is great for stamping in one colour or colouring in, it is also great for making writting paper, I love stamping it in almost any colour for my notes to the school whether for the teacher or office staff, just pretties it up a little.

So here are the ingredients:  (again I think that makes the cards sound so yummy)

STAMPS: Happiness Shared
INKS: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzaz, Early Espresso
PAPER: Elegant Soiree, Baja Breeze,Early Espresso, V Vanilla, Watercolour
ACCESSORIES: Scallop Square Duo, Marina Mist Striped Grosgrain, Pearls, Neutral brad, Elegant Lines EF

So there you have it, hope you enjoyed and found something that you could use on your next card

Cowgirl PG 2

Happy Monday!!!!!

Really it is Sunday evening but I am afraid that my day is going to get away from me tomorrow....it is the first time ever I am getting to go into the classroom, with my son I was never able to get in there with my daughter being a baby, so this year I am excited to participate in both of their classes.

So I know I have not this blog for long but if any of you remember a previous post I had a scrapbook page of my cowgirl this is the first of the two when in the book hence the title only having "MY LIL". I am not one that ususally uses anything other than Stampin Up product but I was very intrigued with the flower soft accessory so that is what you are seing on part of the title.

I had not scrapbooked for quite some time so I was pleased with the outcome.

My ingredients are:
STAMPS: Headline Alphabet (retired)
PAPER: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa (retired), Chocolate Chip, Handsome Hunter (retired), WWHite
INKS: Pretty in Pink
ACCESSORIES: Crystal Effects, Eyelet Border Punch

So I sure hope you enjoyed and hopefully after my day at school I will get home and the opportunity to stamp so to have something new for you tomorrow.

In the meantime thanks for coming by and Happy Stamping

Newsprint Anniversary

Good Morning!!!!!

Do any of you feel WOW after gettting your extra hour last night.....I will have to say YES!!

So here is another anniversary card that I made for the many I seem to have in the next few weeks and I am no photographer and have never tried to pass off as one but this particular picture frustrates me since the flowers in reall life are not htat dark and do not look like red blobs as they seem to look on here but if for nothing else maybe you could use the card as a different layout...smile

I always like it when I have gotten cards and the maker has folded over a corner and never remember to do it so this one I did the flower from the Friends 24-7 has been cut out and dimensioned up. The papers are from the Newsprint and the Love Letter. The ribbon is the Cherry Cobbler seam binding and for us demonstrators we were able to see the upcoming Occassional and Saleabration minis and I was happy to see this ribbon carried on and in a new colour as well.

So anyways I sure hope you all have a great day...we in Southern Ontario have not gotten the possible snow that they thought we may get this weekend at some point....yeah, I mean I would rather put of the inevitable as long as possible.

Happy Stamping

Greeting Kids Anniversary

Good Afternoon and Happy Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really should not say happy Saturday since I have a funeral to go to today, my cousins grandmother passed away and we are going to the service at 2pm, but other than that sadness it is a sunny autumn day here in southern Ontario so I really cannot complain.

You would not necessarily think of November as being the ideal time to get married but I have quite a few anniversaries this month and a couple from last month that I still have not gotten out, so here is one of them. I just love these Greeting Card Kids they are to cute for words and so I decided to use this little girl for my brother and his wife as they do not have any children of their own and do not really have a lot of nieces, the boys sin, and as for my brothers side it being only the two of us and my husband and I only having the two children I am going to have this be from my little girl that was only 8 months at their wedding.

I am so happy for him since he and I both waitted till we were older to marry (I was 26 and he was 29) and him doing so got him a good woman, she loves him dearly and treats him good ( and he her) so the sentiment is fitting that they have many more to come.

Happy Anniversary you two!!!!!!!!!!!  ( they are not readers of my blog as far as I know so I they will not see it here before recieving...smile)

So I sure hope you all have a great day and come on back soon

Manly Sympathy

What is this a second post in one day!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I know, but I think I have figured out my camera and well the card I posted earlier was done months ago and I really wanted to put  card I did today with a set that I have had since July and just nicely getting it put to ink....can honestly say I never thought the day would come when I would have unmounted sets and some that go months before meeting ink but here I am I have I believe four sets that have not been popped out of the dies and mounted to wood, and all four plus three that I have yet to get ink on.

So if any of you happen to ever visit Ruth Young's or Gloria Dojlido's blogs they are friends of mine and they have both got the Copics, well I am not going to let myself break down and get them BUT they did put me in the mood to do some watercolouring so this is the one I did today....thanks girls for the inspiration

Again thanks for coming by and come again real soon

Mr Snowman

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well what a start to the beginning of the week...stamping with great friends it doesn't get much better than that.
This is the last of the four cards that we made over the last couple of days. It had a minor masking technique of putting the snowan down before stamping the trees.  It does not show in the picture but we dazzling diamond glittered the trees and under the snowman.  This card so easy and quick that it would be easy to do in bulk if needed.

Stamping Supplies used:
STAMPS: Snowman from A Cute Christmas, Lovely as a Tree
INKS:   Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, asst markers for the scarf
PAPER: Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Whisper White, Candy Cane DSP
ACCESSORIES: Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Two Way Glue stick,

Told you pretty simple huh?!!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!

Again today I get to stamp with a group of wonderful ladies/friends, we will be making the same cards as I made yesterday since it is a different group, which also means I get to make my snowglobe card...hopefully I don't forget to add the sparkles to mine today as I did yesterday being so excited to show and have the ladies make theirs.

Anyhow on to todays post it was another request and this is the one that we made as a sympathy card (really whatever they wanted to use it as since the sentiment is inside)

I have to tell you too that one lady chose to add the reverse side of the DSP and it had the sikadelic(?) dots but it really looked good..... alot brighter.

The flowers are covered in Crystal Effects and I really liked the way it made the cherry cobbler blend and look smoother....LOVE IT

Well thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping

Happy Happy Monday!!!!!!

This is one of the easier of them, just to save on some of the time because it is today that they will be making that absolutely adorable and fun snowglobe card....again if you need to see a video on how to make it be sure to visit Stamping with Roxy at  http://www.stampingwithroxy.typepad.com/  and go to the archives to November 2009 and there it is...she is fun to listen to as well.

With all my Heart

Happy Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!
So I had a lovely afternoon,  my dear, dear best friend- Ruth came to visit me today. Our girls are both in kindergarden and we have been a little selfish and have been getting together on the days they are in school but today we got together with them home so they could play and see each other as they were missing each other. She was a sweet heart and helped me to get the mini and the catalogue links on to my blog as I was having a heck of a time trying to figure it all out.

I cannot believe that I have been at this for almost 2 weeks now, boy does time fly when you do not have a clue as to what you are doing.  I am so brain dead when it comes to this computer thing.

This is an older card that I have had around for awhile and for some reason never handed out.  It was done with that gorgeous paper that we had in one of hte minis last year with the Irridesent Ice Embossing on the one side of two  of the sheets.  The name of it has left me but either way it was lovely.

Well hope you all have a lovely evening, it is a windy grey day around here in southern Ontario but the evening will be super good just being with the family.

Card ingredients...makes it sound yummy doesn't it...smile.  Well the stamps are With all my Heart but the papers, accessories are retired and I have drawn a blank to the names of most of them.

So thanks for stopping by and visiting me, thanks Ruth for the lovely visit and all your help

Wintery Snowflake

Happy Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!

I thought that I got a better picture than this, I did not use the flash so I am not sure where the glare is from but you get the idea.

Our family has made choice to not celebrate the holidays so when I did a workshop recently I did a wintery card for the ladies, and since I had snowflake sets and other word/sayings sets they all used these to get the holiday wording that they wanted for the insides of their cards

This picture does not show it but it is very sparkly, with the frost white shimmer paint on the embossed snowflakes and dazzling diamonds glitter on the punched snowflake.

I have done this card in real red as well and it too looks very pretty, and a little more festive for those of you that are red lovers..( I don't even red much red...smile)

Here are the supplies needed:

STAMPS: None ( other than what guests wanted stamped inside)
INK: Marina Mist
PAPER: Marina Mist, WWhite, Subtle Stacks DSP
ACCESSORIES: Marina 1/8 tafetta, Subtles Glimmer brads, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Two-way Glue, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Tag Punch, Snowflakes #2 Die, Big Shot, Northern Flurries EF

Thanks for stopping by and hope you come back again

Let"s Get Masculine

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!!!!!!

For some reason I find Manly  cards really hard to make so imagine my joy when the last mini (Summer) had a motorcycle in it.

I wanted this card to have some simplicity to it to make it seem more masculine.  The Nouveau Chic paper was perfect and the added Rhinestones were added to give it more of a biker/rocker look.

I have to make this a short post as I have a date with my mom and daughter for breakfast in London at Cora's.  So I hope you all enjoy your day and come back and see me again

My Lil Cowgirl

Hello, Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I have said before this whole addiction to making cards and buying/needing the stamps etc was because I was trying my hand at scrapbooking.  It got to the point that I was a bit mental wanting all my stuff to match (papers, ribbon, brads...etc).  Which brings my introduction to Stampin Up....it was love not at first sight but after I looked at a friends book and then got one of my own. I disected the book really looking at everything and realized that I had something pretty special in my hands.....and that is where it all began.   True Story...smile

So again I had gotten my daughters pictures done by a friend that is a photographer and we actually got my daughter into this real fancy dress that I got dirt cheap at a USA store and a cowgirl hat that of course just had to be pink ( it IS her fav colour).  This one of my favorites.  She was such a good sport even wearing her cowgirl boots under the dress and yes we did get a picture of them as well.

Here are the ingredients:

STAMPS: Headline Alphabet (retired)
PAPER: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Whisper White, Ch Chip
INK: Ch Chip
ACCESSORIES: Daisy Flower Die, Big Shot, Eyelet Border Punch, Little Leaves Die

Well I sure hope you liked it and that it may inspire you in some way

Love Birds

Good Morning!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it is Sunday and oh, do I have some work to do.  So just in case my day slips away on me quicker than I would like here is a card now.

I titled this Love Birds but in all honesty this card was done as a sympathy card.  The couple were soul mates and a couple of love birds, their last name was bird, the lady that passed away was an avid bird watcher and it needed to be special because it was just so sudden ,sad and and it home becasue she was approx the same age as my own mother.

I was completely inspired from a card and box in the Stampin Success magazine a few months ago, ( I will go see if I can find it again to give the name and edit it in when I do) it was there that I especially got the idea of using the scallop edge punch for the roof.   I am always amazed when people look at the punches and see something other than the obvious....example lets take a butterfly punch and make it into a pansy or an ornamante punch and make it to a fish.  I am so not good at the whole thinking out of the box.

Anyways here are the supplies:
STAMPS:None
PAPER:  Bella Bleu DSP, Vanilla, CChip, Mellow Moss,Brocade Blue
INKS: Brocade Blue, CChip,(just for sponging along some edges)
ACCESSORIES: Top Note die, Big Shot Machine, Brocade 5/8 ribbon, Half Pearls,Scallop Edge Punch, Two Step Lg Bird Punch

Hope you liked it!!!!

Happy Stamping

OOOOPPPPPSSSSS!!!!!!

Well I am so computer illiterate!!!!!!!

I thought I would do something fun and use my Digital Studio to make my own blog header and layout, well guess what it did not work and somehow I in the meantime lost my saved old one so being that it is past midnight and I have been trying to fix my ooopps for a couple hours now this is the new look for now and I will need to leave well enough alone.

So just be aware this is not the set in stone.

AWWW!!!!!!

Happy Friday!!!!!!

I am actually uploading this Thursday evening (10:52pm) because I will not likely have time tomorrow.
I have a date with the kids school in the morning and a planned camping trip with the kids in the basement in the evening....which includes popcorn, movies, pyjamas, sleeping on a blowup mattress and just a lot of fun.  My daughter has been counting down for the last couple days which  makes it even more fun.

So I have all week shown some cards, BUT believe it or not this whole obsession of mine started first of all because of a friend of mine whos blog some of you may have visited before GloriousGreetings, secondly because my husband and I were expecting our first child and I so wanted to be sure I forgot nothing and so the scrapbooking began.  Having been only married a couple years and baby still not having arrived I ran out of things I could think to scrapbook quickly so Gloria introduced me to card making and the company named Stampin Up.  Sometimes I am not sure whether to hug her and say thanks or hit her ....giggle.

Back to my post, so those of you moms out there know how you always run out of pictures to scrapbook before the next film is developed, well it happened to me and when my little girl turned 2 1/2 yrs old and she is looking through the books I did have, she asked where her pictures were....oh dear I was caught and did I ever feel so bad so this is one of the many I have finally done for her and let me just say when she saw the first couple I did for her all she cared about was that she was in the picture.....kids are just too cute.

Anyways sorry for the long post sure hope you like the page I personally was rather proud of it

Stamps: Headline Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Summer Sun, Old Olive
Paper: Presto DP, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Accessories: Tulipe Die (retired), Scallop Edge Punch, 1/2 Pearls

Sorry it is not the best pictures but you get the idea.

I am so excited that I will be having a brown truck delivery later on this afternoon I have all kind of ideas going through my head and wish I was a morning delivery....giggle.

Who Doesn't Love a Cowboy

Happy Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone that knows me well knows that my father is a cowboy at heart and my son has owned his own cowboy hat and boots since he was about 1 1/2 years old.  When he did not own his own hat he used his papa's......so cute!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways back to the card, it may not be the first stamp set I grab on a daily basis but with two the important men in my life mentioned above being who they are and the fact that we own horses and live in the country well it was just a must have for those "I wish I had"... moments

This card uses whatever it is that cowboy set is called, the framed oval die, woodland park DSP

Sure hope you liked it  and I will be back tomorrow

Plant Hope

Happy Tuesday!!!!!

Well I did it I forgot to take the pictures of the cards I did at my workshop last night so I am giving you another card made at a September camp.

I have not figured out how some of the other talented women out there get this ribbon technique to look so amazing but in all honesty it is not a way I will do ribbon again any time soon....smile

This card uses the stamp set Plant Hope I got it for the Bonsai tree but yet here are the pine trees.  I tried to trim the one layer with the Champagne glass glitter,  it is very neat product, I was surprised at how much I really liked it.  I saw somewhere someone using the Finial Press embossing folder nd putting the tiniest half pearls in the little flowers and in real life it does look really cute....if I may say so :)

Well I hope you liked it and are able to use something from it as an inspiration

Elegant Soiree Gift Box

Happy Monday!!!!!

I have this fun and fantastic group of women that come over every three months to make some cards with me and this is the projects we made back in September.

I am just so pleased as punch that we in the whole colour renovation got the beloved Baja Breeze back so needless to say I LOVE this paper and have already gone through two packages of it....WOW

I used different stamps sets with each card but chose to keep it all matchy, matchy with colours and paper.

Stamp sets used were:  Fifth Avenue Floral, Just Believe, Lvl One Hostess Set Because I Care, lastly the Happiness Shared.

All cards had either SU's new rhinestone Gems or Pearls (loving them)

The flower on the box I got from Mary Fish's Blog at http://www.stampinpretty.com/  you may have to archive it but she was sweet enough to put on a video for those of that are visual learners....Thanks Mary!!!!

Hope you like and it is able to inspire you in some way

Happy Stamping!!!
