I am married to lovely man that just smiles at my stamping addiction, two great kids that I just could not imagine having as a part of my life....not that they are perfect...smile!!!!! I do have a furry little girl too that is just to sweet for words. Now you know a little about me I hope you enjoyed your visit and come back anytime. Happy Stamping!!!!!

With all my Heart

Happy Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!
So I had a lovely afternoon,  my dear, dear best friend- Ruth came to visit me today. Our girls are both in kindergarden and we have been a little selfish and have been getting together on the days they are in school but today we got together with them home so they could play and see each other as they were missing each other. She was a sweet heart and helped me to get the mini and the catalogue links on to my blog as I was having a heck of a time trying to figure it all out.

I cannot believe that I have been at this for almost 2 weeks now, boy does time fly when you do not have a clue as to what you are doing.  I am so brain dead when it comes to this computer thing.

This is an older card that I have had around for awhile and for some reason never handed out.  It was done with that gorgeous paper that we had in one of hte minis last year with the Irridesent Ice Embossing on the one side of two  of the sheets.  The name of it has left me but either way it was lovely.

Well hope you all have a lovely evening, it is a windy grey day around here in southern Ontario but the evening will be super good just being with the family.

Card ingredients...makes it sound yummy doesn't it...smile.  Well the stamps are With all my Heart but the papers, accessories are retired and I have drawn a blank to the names of most of them.

So thanks for stopping by and visiting me, thanks Ruth for the lovely visit and all your help

Wintery Snowflake

Happy Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!

I thought that I got a better picture than this, I did not use the flash so I am not sure where the glare is from but you get the idea.

Our family has made choice to not celebrate the holidays so when I did a workshop recently I did a wintery card for the ladies, and since I had snowflake sets and other word/sayings sets they all used these to get the holiday wording that they wanted for the insides of their cards

This picture does not show it but it is very sparkly, with the frost white shimmer paint on the embossed snowflakes and dazzling diamonds glitter on the punched snowflake.

I have done this card in real red as well and it too looks very pretty, and a little more festive for those of you that are red lovers..( I don't even red much red...smile)

Here are the supplies needed:

STAMPS: None ( other than what guests wanted stamped inside)
INK: Marina Mist
PAPER: Marina Mist, WWhite, Subtle Stacks DSP
ACCESSORIES: Marina 1/8 tafetta, Subtles Glimmer brads, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Two-way Glue, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Tag Punch, Snowflakes #2 Die, Big Shot, Northern Flurries EF

Thanks for stopping by and hope you come back again

Let"s Get Masculine

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!!!!!!

For some reason I find Manly  cards really hard to make so imagine my joy when the last mini (Summer) had a motorcycle in it.

I wanted this card to have some simplicity to it to make it seem more masculine.  The Nouveau Chic paper was perfect and the added Rhinestones were added to give it more of a biker/rocker look.

I have to make this a short post as I have a date with my mom and daughter for breakfast in London at Cora's.  So I hope you all enjoy your day and come back and see me again

My Lil Cowgirl

Hello, Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I have said before this whole addiction to making cards and buying/needing the stamps etc was because I was trying my hand at scrapbooking.  It got to the point that I was a bit mental wanting all my stuff to match (papers, ribbon, brads...etc).  Which brings my introduction to Stampin Up....it was love not at first sight but after I looked at a friends book and then got one of my own. I disected the book really looking at everything and realized that I had something pretty special in my hands.....and that is where it all began.   True Story...smile

So again I had gotten my daughters pictures done by a friend that is a photographer and we actually got my daughter into this real fancy dress that I got dirt cheap at a USA store and a cowgirl hat that of course just had to be pink ( it IS her fav colour).  This one of my favorites.  She was such a good sport even wearing her cowgirl boots under the dress and yes we did get a picture of them as well.

Here are the ingredients:

STAMPS: Headline Alphabet (retired)
PAPER: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Whisper White, Ch Chip
INK: Ch Chip
ACCESSORIES: Daisy Flower Die, Big Shot, Eyelet Border Punch, Little Leaves Die

Well I sure hope you liked it and that it may inspire you in some way

Love Birds

Good Morning!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it is Sunday and oh, do I have some work to do.  So just in case my day slips away on me quicker than I would like here is a card now.

I titled this Love Birds but in all honesty this card was done as a sympathy card.  The couple were soul mates and a couple of love birds, their last name was bird, the lady that passed away was an avid bird watcher and it needed to be special because it was just so sudden ,sad and and it home becasue she was approx the same age as my own mother.

I was completely inspired from a card and box in the Stampin Success magazine a few months ago, ( I will go see if I can find it again to give the name and edit it in when I do) it was there that I especially got the idea of using the scallop edge punch for the roof.   I am always amazed when people look at the punches and see something other than the obvious....example lets take a butterfly punch and make it into a pansy or an ornamante punch and make it to a fish.  I am so not good at the whole thinking out of the box.

Anyways here are the supplies:
STAMPS:None
PAPER:  Bella Bleu DSP, Vanilla, CChip, Mellow Moss,Brocade Blue
INKS: Brocade Blue, CChip,(just for sponging along some edges)
ACCESSORIES: Top Note die, Big Shot Machine, Brocade 5/8 ribbon, Half Pearls,Scallop Edge Punch, Two Step Lg Bird Punch

Hope you liked it!!!!

OOOOPPPPPSSSSS!!!!!!

Well I am so computer illiterate!!!!!!!

I thought I would do something fun and use my Digital Studio to make my own blog header and layout, well guess what it did not work and somehow I in the meantime lost my saved old one so being that it is past midnight and I have been trying to fix my ooopps for a couple hours now this is the new look for now and I will need to leave well enough alone.

So just be aware this is not the set in stone.

AWWW!!!!!!

Happy Friday!!!!!!

I am actually uploading this Thursday evening (10:52pm) because I will not likely have time tomorrow.
I have a date with the kids school in the morning and a planned camping trip with the kids in the basement in the evening....which includes popcorn, movies, pyjamas, sleeping on a blowup mattress and just a lot of fun.  My daughter has been counting down for the last couple days which  makes it even more fun.

So I have all week shown some cards, BUT believe it or not this whole obsession of mine started first of all because of a friend of mine whos blog some of you may have visited before GloriousGreetings, secondly because my husband and I were expecting our first child and I so wanted to be sure I forgot nothing and so the scrapbooking began.  Having been only married a couple years and baby still not having arrived I ran out of things I could think to scrapbook quickly so Gloria introduced me to card making and the company named Stampin Up.  Sometimes I am not sure whether to hug her and say thanks or hit her ....giggle.

Back to my post, so those of you moms out there know how you always run out of pictures to scrapbook before the next film is developed, well it happened to me and when my little girl turned 2 1/2 yrs old and she is looking through the books I did have, she asked where her pictures were....oh dear I was caught and did I ever feel so bad so this is one of the many I have finally done for her and let me just say when she saw the first couple I did for her all she cared about was that she was in the picture.....kids are just too cute.

Anyways sorry for the long post sure hope you like the page I personally was rather proud of it

Stamps: Headline Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Summer Sun, Old Olive
Paper: Presto DP, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Accessories: Tulipe Die (retired), Scallop Edge Punch, 1/2 Pearls

Sorry it is not the best pictures but you get the idea.

I am so excited that I will be having a brown truck delivery later on this afternoon I have all kind of ideas going through my head and wish I was a morning delivery....giggle.

Who Doesn't Love a Cowboy

Happy Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone that knows me well knows that my father is a cowboy at heart and my son has owned his own cowboy hat and boots since he was about 1 1/2 years old.  When he did not own his own hat he used his papa's......so cute!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways back to the card, it may not be the first stamp set I grab on a daily basis but with two the important men in my life mentioned above being who they are and the fact that we own horses and live in the country well it was just a must have for those "I wish I had"... moments

This card uses whatever it is that cowboy set is called, the framed oval die, woodland park DSP

Sure hope you liked it  and I will be back tomorrow

Plant Hope

Happy Tuesday!!!!!

Well I did it I forgot to take the pictures of the cards I did at my workshop last night so I am giving you another card made at a September camp.

I have not figured out how some of the other talented women out there get this ribbon technique to look so amazing but in all honesty it is not a way I will do ribbon again any time soon....smile

This card uses the stamp set Plant Hope I got it for the Bonsai tree but yet here are the pine trees.  I tried to trim the one layer with the Champagne glass glitter,  it is very neat product, I was surprised at how much I really liked it.  I saw somewhere someone using the Finial Press embossing folder nd putting the tiniest half pearls in the little flowers and in real life it does look really cute....if I may say so :)

Well I hope you liked it and are able to use something from it as an inspiration

Elegant Soiree Gift Box

Happy Monday!!!!!

I have this fun and fantastic group of women that come over every three months to make some cards with me and this is the projects we made back in September.

I am just so pleased as punch that we in the whole colour renovation got the beloved Baja Breeze back so needless to say I LOVE this paper and have already gone through two packages of it....WOW

I used different stamps sets with each card but chose to keep it all matchy, matchy with colours and paper.

Stamp sets used were:  Fifth Avenue Floral, Just Believe, Lvl One Hostess Set Because I Care, lastly the Happiness Shared.

All cards had either SU's new rhinestone Gems or Pearls (loving them)

The flower on the box I got from Mary Fish's Blog at http://www.stampinpretty.com/  you may have to archive it but she was sweet enough to put on a video for those of that are visual learners....Thanks Mary!!!!

Hope you like and it is able to inspire you in some way

Cardinal

I cannot take credit for this layout as it was inspired totally from a card that I recieved at the recently attended Hamilton Regional.

The original was really cute with the stamp Dasher on it but I was looking for the opportunity to use this cardinal.

This is  one of the four cards that I made last week for a couple different camps.  There were three others that I will put on over the next couple days until I have more lined up and making something new on a more regular basis.

Thank you so much for stoppin by

Welcome!!!!

I can honestly say that I  never thought that I would ever start one of these but here I am.

Got to thinking that it can't be that bad so here I am trying it out.  I hope in all of this I can do atleast one thing, inspire you in some way and hopefully show you what and who it is that inspire me.
